The aim of the day was to give pupils the opportunity to work collaboratively with their peers to:

• Help pupils build their self-esteem;

• Improve their financial capability;

• Prepare for employment;

• Allow time for reflection on individual skills and qualities;

• Practice for job-hunting, writing applications and job interviews;

• Prepare for working life;

• Produce personal and family budgets;

• Tie-in with particular career choices.

Pupils worked throughout the day in small groups on a set challenge which involved pupils developing their communication, team building and presentation skills. A great day was had by all!
