Welcome to The Cornelius Vermuyden School and Arts College Website and thank you for your interest in our school. I hope that this website provides a useful insight into the way we work.
I am delighted to have the opportunity of introducing you to The Cornelius Vermuyden School. I hope that if you have not already visited the school then you will take the opportunity to do so. In this website we have tried to give you an idea of what we value in our school and what we are proud of.
At The Cornelius Vermuyden School we aim to be a caring and orderly community, where individuals are able to learn, contribute and develop. In order to achieve these aims we seek to provide a disciplined and purposeful environment, where the traditional values of mutual care, consideration and acceptance flourish.
As a learning community we seek to provide an education that is exciting, challenging and prepares each child for life and learning beyond school; a broad based education in which achievement is celebrated and children succeed. We provide an education that stretches pupils of all abilities and values each child as an individual in their own right. We believe that The Cornelius Vermuyden School is a school to which parents may entrust their children safe in the knowledge that they are being cared for by an able and conscientious staff - a staff committed to achieving the very best for those given to their care.

As a school we pride ourselves on our close links with our community and constantly seek to improve and develop what we offer to our students and the community. We are a specialist college for Arts and successfully offer a wide range of subjects and course choices for our students. Over the past year we have completed the building of a new Arts Centre which provides excellent facilities for our students and our community.
 | The senior leaders are demonstrating outstanding capacity to improve.

We are very proud of the achievements of our students and staff. We are pleased that the school has been recognised as an Investor in People, as this is a public acknowledgement of our commitment to the care and development of all the people at our school, staff and students alike. We were particularly proud to receive the prestigious Artsmark, awarded for excellence, in recognition of the high standards in the arts we offer to our students and members of the local community.
