The headteacher, in conjunction with her good governing body, has ensured that most of the areas for improvemnet identified in the previous inspection have been addressed. They have also ensured that the school is well placed to benefit from the local authority proposals to provide new buildings for the school.

The governing body at The Cornelius Vermuyden School and Arts College are an extremely important group of committed people who regularly throughout the school year for formal governing body meetings and for sub-committee meetings. The sub-committees, which meet more frequently, conduct specialist business and then report back to the full governing body meetings. The sub-committees are:

• Appeals
