Ceramics Workshop
On Wednesday, 11th November, seventeen Able, Gifted and Talented year 6 pupils took part in a ceramics workshop in the
Karslake Centre Gallery.
They came from Canvey Junior School for the day to work with ceramic artist Richard Baxter. The pupils were introduced to the medium of clay and looked at prehistoric pottery examples. They went on to make their own sizeable bowls by hand. Main work took the form of exquisite cups with characters such as dogs or little people as handles. The day was a great success and very much enjoyed by all. Mrs Bellew
