Artist of the Week
We have an exciting new addition to our website, this new page will give the pupils who have shown great talent in art to be our "Artist of the Week" and have their work showcased on this webpage. Keep a look out for all the great new work that the pupils are producing in Art.
Artist of the Week for 26th June 2009 is Katie Bowhay 8C
We are delighted to announce that our Artist of the Week for 26th June 2009 is Katie Bowhay 8C. Katie produced a collage from newspaper and magazine clippings. She carefully selected images from this work and transferred them into a series of interesting designs for some CD's. The final result is an exciting, colourful and dynamic composition.
Well done Katie.

Artist of the Week for 12th June 2009 is Sian Hodge 10 A3
We are delighted to announce that our Artist of the Week for 12th June 2009 is Sian Hodge 10A3. Sian has put fantastic effort into both her Art and Design and Art Textiles work this year. Sian produced this painting for unit One 'The Formal Elements' using acrylic on canvas. She planned her work thoroughly using primary photography to develop ideas based on silhouettes.
Well done Sian on both your effort and organisation!

Artist of the Week for 5th June 2009 is Angelina Smith 10A6
We are delighted to announce that our Artist of the Week for 5th June 2009 is Angelina Smith 10A6. Angelina has worked with great independance and perserverance to create these images for her Unit 1 GSCE course work.She took close up images of natural flowers in black and white, she then took colour images for her background, which she edited sucessfully on Photoshop. She combines the two images using various manipulation techniques to present her own interpretation of her chosen artist,Wolfgang Tilmans. Well done Angelina.

Artist of the Week for 22nd May 2009 is Laura Collins 11T6
We are delighted to announce that our Artist of the Week for 22nd May 2009 is Laura Collins Year 11 . This piece of work was made by Laura for her 'I, Me, Mine' Art Exam. Laura worked incredibly hard and her organization and research was excellent throughout. Well done Laura.

Artist of the Week for 8th May 2009 is Ceri Thomas 9B2
We are delighted to announce that our Artist of the Week is Ceri Thomas Year 9 . Ceri has made a successful start to her 'Formal Elements' project. She has used line to demonstrate the form of the shell.During the past two weeks, a variety of media has been used, including pencil and charcoal. Ceri has shown a very determined attitude to suceed in art. Well done Ceri.
