Monday 3rd to Saturday 8th October 2011
On Monday and Tuesday this week we have groups of Year 10 pupils visitng the home of William Shakespeare,
Stratford Upon Avon, with the English department.
Also on Monday and on Thursday our Netball teams are playing a home game against Sweyne and an away game against
Greensward. Stay tuned for scores and the best of luck to our teams!
On Saturday we have our Open School. If you are considering joining Cornelius Vermuyden School why not
come along and have a look around. You will get the chance to meet the students, teachers and take part in some
great activities. This is also an excellent opportunity to explore our fantastic new building!
Open school runs from 10am-1pm with an address by our head teacher at 11 am.

Monday 26th to Friday 30th September 2011
On Wednesday this week we have a special guest coming in to work with year 11 in some creative writing workshops.
Thursday will see Cornelius Vermuyden hosting "CSI: Canvey Island" as Year 11 BTEC Science have their Forensic Science day.
On Friday we end the week with our Macmillan coffee morning during breaks 1 & 2. Cakes and drinks will be available and your
money goes to a good cause! What a delicious way to support a great charity.

Monday 19th to Friday 23rd September 2011
This week sees us continuing with normal lessons as we continue to get back into the beginning of Autumn term.
On Thursday this week Year 10 BTEC Art are taking a trip to the Tate Modern in London. We are sure the art department will bring us back lots of pictures
so keep an eye out on the school trips listing here for those.
As a piece of early notice we have a coffee morning in aid of MacMillan next Friday, 30th September. Be sure to bring some change for cakes and treats at break time.
